Frontline Combo cat is a spot-on product for the prevention and control of fleas, ticks and lice in cats and ferrets. The product is based on the active ingredients fipronil and (S) -methropene. The agent effectively kills fleas, ticks and (biting) lice within 24 hours (fleas) and 48 hours (lice). A renewed infestation is largely prevented, as this agent has a preventive effect even after 4 weeks against fleas and 2 weeks against ticks. The combination function of this agent is important to limit the development of new infections; the development of flea eggs, larvae and pupae is stopped for a period of six weeks. It is also useful in treating cats with flea allergy.
